Thanks for reaching out!
Dear Angela and Julie
I’m excited by the opportunity to facilitate a workshop at the SCAQ 2025 Conference.
We have worked with several clients to provide communications training and capability-building services for teams of all shapes and sizes in Australia and overseas. Some of our training clients include Customer Owned Banking Association (COBA), Gold Coast City Council, Canon Australia, TerryWhite ChemMart, University of Sydney, Ever Change and Communications, Astute Early Years Specialists, Energy Queensland, Queensland Department of Corrective Services, and Mindzallera (Malaysia).
We also facilitate public workshops. Most recently, I co-facilitated a workshop in Perth on the topic of change communication and leadership; and we have on-demand courses, including a Corporate Communications Fundamental self-paced online course.
We specialise in audience-centred communication training, helping people to understand how to reach their audiences most effectively. Our workshops are highly interactive, using a range of learning techniques to invite conversation, and tools and templates participants can use to put the lessons into practice right away.
When facilitating, I also use my sketchnoting skills to support content, and to document participant’s ‘lighbulb moments’, providing a fun and useful tool that can be used as a reminder of the learning – and a discussion point – well after the workshop has finished.
I really value the opportunity to work with you and your team to deliver a stand-out conference experience.
I look forward to talking with you soon.
Kind regards
Mel Loy, CEO & Founder

What this project is all about
-
SCAQ is facilitating a conference for strata professionals in March 2025. Concurrent workshops will be held during the event, and the organisers are seeking a facilitator to provide a two-hour workshop on effective business communication skills.
-
The key objectives of this work are to:
Design and deliver a two-hour, interactive workshop equipping attendees with knowledge on what makes effective business communication
Design and deliver tools and templates participants can use to put the learning into practice.
-
As a result of completing this work and achieving these objectives, we expect to see:
Improved communication between strata professionals, particularly those of different levels of experience, and different generations.
Improved communication between strata professionals and body corporate committees, leading to higher levels of job satisfaction.
-
Based on the information provided to date, we expect the key deliverables of this engagement to be:
Workshop preparation and delivery: Two-hour workshop delivered in-person in Brisbane on 26 March 2025.
Delivery
-
Our philosophy is that training should be fun, useful, and inclusive. It should also be based on evidence. This means we go above and beyond to ensure the training is relevant and interactive, well-researched, tailored to your specific needs, has immediate practical implication, and is delivered in a way that is fully accessible.
Included in our training:
Pre- and post-session briefings and administration time
Materials and key takeaways
A copy of the slide deck
A post-session feedback survey (if the client does not conduct their own)
· Permission to use the recordings and slide decks for 12 months post-training.
-
The session outline below is a high-level draft only – it will be further revised upon appointment as your preferred supplier to ensure the content is tailored to your needs. A detailed session outline and agenda will be provided prior to the workshop.
